A light brown grainy powder (pictured below), expected to be Fentanyl, was tested in Surrey (Whalley area) at SafePoint OPS/SCS today; Jan 23rd 2020. The FTIR Spec results showed that the substance was Pseudoephedrine and Cellulose. Both Fentanyl and Benzo test strips showed a negative result. The sample is not being sent for additional confirmatory testing.
It is unsure if this drug is being distributed on a wide-scale or if it was a seller trying to make a quick sale. The client purchased a few baggies of this substance and noticed it cooked up oddly when preparing in a cooker. There was no opioid detectable in this sample sold as down.
Please be reminded that drugs purchased in an unregulated market are not always what they are advertised as. Use at an OPS/SCS.
