1) Benzodiazepine-positive sample of black paste-like/putty substance - expected to be down (Fentanyl) being sold in DTES causing hours-long blackouts. Tested at Insite and found Positive for Fentanyl and Benzo's - the FTIR Spec also found Caffeine, erythritol, polyethylene glycol. The client reported injecting the substance and being knocked out for 6 hours; Below is an image of the substance. This has also been sent for confirmatory testing.
2) Another substance of Crystal Meth (light pink substance) was also tested on 22nd Jan and the result showed positive for fentanyl. This substance was tested in Vancouver DTES.

3) A purple coloured down (fentanyl) was tested positive for Benzo's in the DTES (image below). The client had smoked the substance but did not report any adverse effects. The subtance was tested at Insite and the FTIR Spec also found Caffeine and Inositol. The sample was also sent for confirmatory testing.
