Drug technicians tested a sample of down (Fentanyl) that tested positive for benzos. Several clients presented this type of down for testing, so it is available in the DTES.
The clients confirmed that they purchased the sample on the DTES, it is a dark purple colour (almost black), and a dry paste-like texture. The spectrometer analysis showed the sample containing caffeine, mannitol and fentanyl. Test strip analysis yielded positive results for both fentanyl and benzodiazepines.
